The Wonderful  World of Oats

More than just a pantry staple, oats are naturally gluten-free, eco-friendly, nutritionally beneficial, and have a very long shelf life.

There are many types of oats, but these are most common.  1. Steel-cut Oats 2. Rolled Oats 3. Instant Oats

Steel Cut Oats

- Least processed. - Have a chewier, nutty flavor. - Ideal for cooked oatmeal.

Rolled Oats

- Quickly steamed, then rolled flat. - Also called "Old Fashioned Oats." - Most versatile for baking, use in cookies, granola, bread, and more.

Instant Oats

- Most processed of the three. - Also called quick oats. - Not as much texture or flavor. - Good for smoothies and quick breakfasts.
