– pie crust – sugar – cardamom – ground ginger – cinnamon – salt – blackberries  – port wine – cornstarch – flour – butter – brown sugar

1. Roll out the pie crust until 14" across and about 1/8" thick. Then transfer to a pie dish.

2. Combine together the blackberries, spices, and sugar. Add the cornstarch and port wine slurry and stir together.

3. Cut the butter into small chunks. Combine together the brown sugar, spices, and flour, then work the butter chunks into the flour to make the crumb topping.

4. Pour the blackberry pie filling into the crust, then top with the buttery crumble topping.

3. Bake 30 minutes covered, then uncover and bake 25 more until golden brown. Let it cool  before slicing.
