Today’s pineapple banana smoothie is an all-fruit smoothie that is deliciously sweet with a tropical flavor and thick texture. It’s dairy-free, added-sugar-free, and vegan friendly.

Optional Smoothie Add-ins

The best part about homemade smoothies is that you can customize all of the ingredients for your own taste buds. While there isn’t a lot of room for swaps in a three ingredient smoothie, there is room to add in your favorites to make this smoothie uniquely yours.

Here are some popular add-ins that work really well in this smoothie:

  • Coconut water or coconut milk (skip the dairy milk – it will curdle)
  • Chia seeds or flax seeds
  • Protein or collagen powder
  • Oats or oatmeal
  • Fresh herbs like basil, cilantro, or dill (a little goes a long way!)
  • Spices like cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, or clove (again, a little goes a long way!)

    1. I certainly cannot wait for fall, but this will be one that I pull out during the coldest days of winter just to remember how good summer can taste!
